Due to severe lack of participation.. this account will be inactive starting in February.. at least on a temporary basis. There were only two entries for the most recent contest. Although I'm sure you all have other things that are taking your time.. I have other things to do as well. I'm going to be focusing on them for awhile. When I have more spare time on my hands.. I'll see if any of you are interested in becoming involved again. Those members who did participate over the last year.. thank you. For those who are disappointed.. I apologize. I've enjoyed supporting all of your efforts here at DA.

We're proud to introduce the official I-A-M member chatroom! Look for #Infini in the chatroom listings.. hopefully this will get more of you to participate in group events.

Rules for voting:

1. Each member may vote only once.
2. No member can vote for themselves.
3. Votes must be submitted in the form of a post in this journal section when entries are announced.. but no more than one post may be made here by any member. (If you post more than once here.. your vote may be disqualified as it could cause confusion in the counts.)
4. Votes will be accepted through stated voting period each month only.
5. Be sure to read the descriptions to fully understand the meaning of all entrants.
6. After the votes are counted.. and the winner is announced.. members may request to have their banner uploaded onto the group page for display.


Current contest theme:


'A Moment In Time'.. basically.. your creation based on a scene or an emotion of a historical event somewhere in the world. There's no size requirement this time. You must include an explanation of your idea, the event you're referencing, and how the two relate. Remember.. we're all from many different countries.. and we must be able to understand what you're trying to say.


All entries were required to be submitted no later than January 21st, 2005 at Midnight EST..

Programs: Ultra Fractal, Apophysis, fractal generators.
Open: Started doing artwork because I am a computer wallpaper collector. After browsing dozens of sites, I found a fractal gallery and was hooked. Downloaded the programs and I've been making fractal art ever since. Personal goals are to be a much better fractal artist, primarily by learning Ultra Fractal, the best fractal program ever written. I'd also like to start learning other art forms to keep my gallery fresh. I would love to be a full time artist, but lack the skills at the moment. Plan on taking art classes once my electrical engineering classes are completed.
